On or about Friday, October 22nd, 2021, around 2:40 in the afternoon, a single-vehicle box truck accident left a 61-year-old Princeton man. Authorities from the KSP said the accident was reported along Highway 293 in Eddyville, Kentucky.
Police said 61-year-old Daniel R. Svoboda was killed when the box truck he was driving allegedly drove off the side of Highway 293 and rolled when he may have overcorrected. Svoboda was ejected from the vehicle in the crash and was rushed to a nearby hospital where he succumbed to his injuries a short time after his arrival. Police did not mention any other vehicles in their statement on the accident.
According to Google Maps, Eddyville is about 113 miles west of Bowling Green.
Police are still investigating the accident.
