On or about Wednesday, November 17th, 2021, around 7:00, an accident between a rock hauler truck and an ambulance claimed the life of a 42-year-old man. Law enforcement officials said the accident was reported along the southbound side of Highway 69 just outside Greenville in Hunt County, Texas.

Troopers from the Department of Public Safety said 42-year-old David Eads was killed when the ambulance he was driving was allegedly struck by a rock hauler tractor-trailer that was backing across the southbound lanes of Highway 69. Emergency responders pronounced Eads dead of his injuries a short time after the collision. A passenger in the ambulance was taken to a nearby hospital with unknown injuries.

According to Google Maps, the scene of the accident is a short distance north of Greenville, which is about 51 miles northeast of downtown Dallas.

Police are still looking into the accident.
