On or about Tuesday, June 7th, 2022, around 12:45 in the morning, an accident between a tractor-trailer and a pedestrian left a 49-year-old man dead. Officials from the Louisiana State Police said the accident was reported along Essen Lane in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
Authorities from the Louisiana State Police said 49-year-old David Hutchinson was killed when he was allegedly struck by a tractor-trailer while he was walking alongside or made an attempt toc ross the lanes of traffic on Essen Lane. Paramedics pronounced Hutchinson dead of his injuries a short time after they responded to the scene of the incidnet.
According to Google Maps, the scene of the accident is not far from the exchange with Interstate 10.
Police are still investigating the fatal accident.
