On or about Monday, November 29th, 2021, around 8:00 at night, a major accident between a van and a tractor-trailer claimed the life of a 58-year-old Pemberton Township resident. Troopers from the NJHP said the accident was reported along the northbound side of Route 130 in Bordentown Township, New Jersey.

Representatives from the New Jersey Highway Patrol said 58-year-old David Jenkins was killed when the van he was in and a tractor-trailer collided under unspecified circumstances on Route 130 near the exchange with Taconic Road. Emergency responders pronounced Jenkins dead after the accident, but it is not immediately clear if he died at the scene or if he was taken to a nearby hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.

According to Google Maps, Route 130 runs north and south through Bordentown Township, which is about 58 miles southwest of downtown Newark.

Officials are still investigating the accident.
