On or about Wednesday, August 25th, 2021, around 1:30 in the afternoon, a single-vehicle tractor-trailer accident claimed the life of a 60-year-old Uniontown man. Authorities from the PSP said the accident was reported along the Pennsylvania Turnpike in Monroeville, Pennsylvania.

Law enforcement representatives said 60-year-old David John Paull was killed when the tractor-trailer he was riding in allegedly skidded off the side of the road following a major tire blowout. Paull was pronounced dead of his injuries after the crash. The driver of the tractor-trailer was able to get out of the truck, but police did not say if he was injured in the incident.

According to Google Maps, Monroeville is a short distance east of downtown Pittsburgh.

Authorities are still examining the circumstances surrounding the accident.
