Details:
On or about Saturday, February 12th, 2022, around 8:00 in the morning, an accident between a bus and a pedestrian left a 38-year-old man dead. Troopers from the CSP said the accident was reported along Interstate 95 in Gorton, Connecticut.
Representatives from the Connecticut State Police said 38-year-old David Voebel was killed when he was allegedly hit by a passing bus as he was walking alongside or tried to cross Interstate 95. Emergency responders rushed Voebel to a nearby hospital where he succumbed to his injuries a short time after his arrival. Paramedics transported an unspecified number of people from the bus to the hospital with unspecified injuries.
According to Google Maps, Interstate 95 cuts north and south into Groton, which is about 47 miles southeast of Hartford.
Authorities are still investigating.
