Details:
On or about Monday, January 18th, 2021, around 11:17 in the morning, an accident between a heavy duty excavation truck and a car left a woman dead. State Police said the accident happened along Spring Place Road in Cleveland, Tennessee.
Law enforcement personnel said that a Ford F-350 excavation truck allegedly crossed over the center line of Spring Place Road and struck the car Schoate was driving. Investigators said the truck allegedly swerved to avoid rear-ending a car and swung into the oncoming lanes of traffic. Emergency responders pronounced Shoate dead at the scene.
Google Maps shows Cleveland is located about 32 miles northeast of Chattanooga.
Police are still looking into the accident.
