Details:
On or about Wednesday, January 19th, 2022, around 1:45 in the morning, a single-vehicle accident with an alleged drunk driver left one man dead and sent another to the hospital. Deputies from the Harris County Sheriff’s Department said the accident was reported along North Loop East in Houston, Texas.
Authorities said Delmus Alex Menard was killed when the vehicle he was in allegedly drove off the side of the roadway and rolled off the side of North Loop East. Menard was pronounced dead from his injuries a short time after emergency responders arrived at the scene. Police identified the driver of the car as Byran Keith Rone, who was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
Officials have since charged Rone with intoxication manslaughter in connection with the incident.
Police are still working to determine all the factors behind the accident.
