Details:
On or about Sunday, December 5th, 2021, around 5:27 in the morning, a serious accident between a pickup truck and a tractor-trailer left one individual dead and sent two others to the hospital. Representatives from the ASP said the accident was reported along Highway 65 in Boone County, Arkansas.
Spokespeople from the Arkansas State Police said 68-year-old Dennis Gene Visser was killed while 60-year-old Harvey Dean Mulder and 62-year-old Verlyn Jay Mulder were injured when a tractor-trailer allegedly struck the pickup truck they were in as they may have been attempting a U-turn on Highway 65. Visser succumbed to his injuries a short time after the collision, while Verlyn and Harvey Mulder were transported to North Arkansas Regional Medical center for unspecified injuries.
According to Google Maps, Boone County is about 147 miles north of downtown Little Rock.
Officials are still working to pin down the cause of the accident.
