On or about Wednesday, December 1st, 2021, around 4:10 in the afternoon, an accident between a tractor-trailer claimed the life of a 59-year-old man. Law enforcement officials from the area said the accident was reported at the intersection of Fourth Street and Wing Avenue in Owensboro, Kentucky.
Police from the area said 59-year-old Dennis Lagrone was killed when he was allegedly struck by a tractor-trailer while he was riding his bike alongside or across the road at or near the intersection of Fourth Street and Wing Avenue. Paramedics pronounced Lagrone dead of his injuries at the scene of the accident.
According to Google Maps, Owensboro is about 107 miles southwest of downtown Louisville.
Officials are still working to pin down the factors that contributed to the accident.
