Details:
On or about Monday, March 21st, 2022, around 4:07 in the morning, a serious accident between a passenger vehicle and two tractor-trailers left one man dead. Troopers from the VSP said the accident was reported along Interstate 95 in Sussex, Virginia.
Deputies from the Sussex County Sheriff’s Office said Dennis Lee Abington was killed when the vehicle he was in and two tractor-trailers collided on Interstate 95. Emergency responders pronounced Abington dead of his injuries a short time after the accident.
According to Google Maps, Interstate 95 cuts north and south through Sussex.
Police are still examining the circumstances surrounding the accident.
