Details:
On or about Sunday, February 13th, 2022, around 3:30 in the morning, a serious single-vehicle suspected drunk driving accident left a 24-year-old man dead. Authorities from the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office said the accident was reported along Highway 90 in San Antonio, Texas.
Officers from the San Antonio Police Department said 24-year-old Deven Perez was killed when the pickup truck he was in allegedly drove off the side of the roadway and flipped when it hit a barrier a short distance off the pavement. Paramedics pronounced Perez dead of his injuries a short time after they responded to the scene of the accident. Authorities did not mention any other vehicles in their statement on the crash.
Officials indicated that alcohol may have been a factor in the accident.
SAPD is still investigating.
