On or about Thursday, March 31st, 2022, around 7:15 in the evening, an accident between a motorcycle and a passenger vehicle left one individual dead. Representatives from the Travis County Sheriff’s Office said the accident was reported on South Congress Avenue near West Slaughter Avenue in Austin, Texas.
Officers from the Austin Police Department said 28-year-old Devonere Rashaad Harris was killed when the motorcycle he was on allegedly collided with another vehicle under unspecified circumstances. Emergency responders pronounced Harris dead of his injuries a short time after the accident.
According to Google Maps, the intersection of South Congress Avenue and West Slaughter Avenue is on the south side of Austin.
Police are still investigating the accident.
