Details:
On or about Sunday, June 14th, 2021, around 4:40 in the afternoon, an accident between a car and a tractor-trailer sent two adults and three children to the hospital. Deputies from the Polk County Sheriff’s Department said the accident was reported along Highway 59 near Corrigan, Texas.
Police from the area said 31-year-old Dexter Davidson, 34-year-old Brittany Green, and three as-of-yet unidentified juveniles were injured when the Hyundai Sonata they were in allegedly struck the back of a tractor-trailer. After the initial impact, the car spun to the side of the truck as the truck rolled, crushing the Hyundai. Paramedics transported Green, Davidson, and three juvenile passengers to the hospital with unspecified injuries stemming from the accident.
According to Google Maps, the scene of the accident on Highway 59 is a short distance south of Corrigan, which is about 95 miles northeast of downtown Houston.
Authorities are still investigating the cause of the accident.
