Details:
On or about Saturday, March 19th, 2022, around 3:02 in the morning, a serious accident between a tractor-trailer and a semi truck left one man dead and sent two others to the hospital. Representatives from the ASP said the accident was reported along Interstate 40 in St. Francis County, Arkansas.
Troopers from the Arkansas State Police said 37-year-old Dhahi Mawlood Kareem Abro was killed, while Rivan Najee-Saleem Eeso was injured when the tractor-trailer they were in was allegedly struck head-on by an 18-wheeler that had crossed over the center line of I-40. Emergency responders pronounced Abro dead a short time after the accident, while Eeso was taken to the hospital with unknown injuries.
Officials identified the driver of the second tractor-trailer as 42-year-old Paul Theuri Muthai, who was also hurt in the collision.
According to Google Maps, Interstate 40 cuts east and west into St. Francis County.
Authorities are still investigating the accident.
