Details:
On or about Tuesday, February 8th, 2022, sometime in the afternoon hours, a serious two-vehicle accident left one man dead. Deputies from the Howard County Sheriff’s Office said the accident was reported along Interstate 20 just outside Big Spring, Texas.
Law enforcement officials said Dickie Jones was killed when the passenger vehicle he was in was allegedly struck by a vehicle that may have crossed over the center line of the roadway on Interstate 20. Emergency responders pronounced Jones dead of his injuries a short time after the accident.
According to Google Maps, the scene of the accident is a short distance from Big Spring, which is about 103 miles south of downtown Lubbock.
Police are still investigating the cause of the accident.
