Details:
On or about Monday, March 14th, 2022, around 7:00 in the evening, an accident between a pickup truck and a passenger vehicle left a 31-year-old man dead. Authorities from the EPPD said the accident was reported in the 4400 block of Montan Avenue in El Paso, Texas.
Officers from the El Paso Police Department said 31-year-old Diego Escalante was killed when the vehicle he was in allegedly crossed over the center line of Montan Avenue and struck a pickup truck in the oncoming lanes of the roadway. Paramedics rushed Escalante to a nearby hospital where he succumbed to his injuries a few days after his arrival.
According to Google Maps, the scene of the accident is on the north side of El Paso.
Officials are still investigating the cause of the crash.
