On or about Wednesday, December 1st, 2021, around 11:00 in the morning, an accident between a motorcycle and a tractor-trailer sent a 54-year-old man to the hospital. Officials from the Department of Public Safety said the accident was reported on Highway 83 in Webb County, Texas.
Police officers said 54-year-old Domingo Valenzuela Jr. was injured when a tractor-trailer allegedly failed to yield while merging onto the roadway from a construction zone and drove into the path of Valenzuela’s motorcycle. Emergency responders rushed Valenzuela to a nearby hospital for treatment of unspecified injuries. Authorities did not mention any other vehicles or injuries in their statement on the accident.
