On or about Sunday, May 8th, 2022, around 5:20 in the afternoon, a serious single-vehicle car accident left a 64-year-old man dead. Officials from the Department of Public Safety said the accident was reported along Highway 83/84 in Abilene, Texas.
Authorities from the Texas Department of Public Safety said 64-year-old Donald Neil Chick was killed when the passenger vehicle he was driving allegedly veered off the side of Highway 83/84. Emergency responders pronounced Chick dead of his injuries at the scene of the accident. Officials did not mention any other vehicles in their statement on the accident.
According to Google Maps, the scene of the crash is a short distance from Antilley Road.
Police are still working to pin down what happened in the crash.
