Details:
On or about Thursday, January 20th, 2022, around 7:09 in the morning, an accident between a pickup truck and a newspaper delivery truck left one man dead and sent a woman to the hospital. Authorities from the DPS said the accident was reported along Highway 183 just outside Goliad in Goliad County, Texas.
Texas Department of Public Safety officials said 58-year-old Douglas Raymond Corrigan was killed and 56-year-old Barbara Lynne Hunt was injured when the newspaper delivery truck Corrigan was driving allegedly veered over the center line and struck Hunt’s pickup truck in the oncoming lanes. Emergency responders pronounced Corrigan dead of her injuries after the accident. Hunt was taken by paramedics to Cuero Regional Hospital where she was last listed in stable condition by medical staff.
According to Google Maps, the scene of the accident is about 5 miles north of Goliad, which is roughly 91 miles southeast of downtown San Antonio.
