On or about Friday, February 25th, 2022, around 1:30 in the morning, an accident between a pedestrian and an alleged drunk driver left one person dead. Deputies from the Brazos County Sheriff’s Office said the accident was reported along the North Earl Rudder Freeway in Bryan, Texas.

Officers from the area said 49-year-old Drake Washington was killed when he was allegedly struck by a vehicle driven by Jesus Morin as he was walking alongside or made an attempt to cross the lanes of the North Earl Rudder Freeway. Emergency responders pronounced Washington dead of his injuries a short time after the accident.

Officials have since charged Solis with DWI in connection with the accident.
