On or about Wednesday, January 26th, 2022, around 6:00 in the morning, an accident between a tractor-trailer and a passenger vehicle left a 30-year-old Houma man dead. Troopers from the LSP said the accident was reported along U.S. Highway 90 in Raceland, Louisiana.
Representatives from the Louisiana State Police said 30-year-old Drew Bourg II was killed when his car allegedly struck a tractor-trailer that was sticking partially into the lanes of Highway 90. Emergency responders pronounced Bourg II dead of his injuries a short time after they arrived at the scene. The driver of the tractor-trailer was unhurt in the collision.
According to Google Maps, Highway 90 winds east and west through Raceland, which is about 44 miles southwest of downtown New Orleans.
