A 70-year-old man was killed Sunday, December 1, 2024, when his 2012 Nissan Rogue collided with an abandoned semi-truck trailer on northbound US Highway 27. According to Florida Highway Patrol, the Clewiston, FL, man crashed into the trailer shortly after 3:30 a.m., after veering off the road onto the shoulder. The accident occurred just north of Interstate 75, and the unnamed driver was pronounced dead at the scene.
