On or about Monday, February 14th, 2022, around 2:30 in the morning, an accident between a passenger vehicle and a dump truck left a 54-year-old man dead. Troopers from the LSP said the accident was reported along Interstate 55 in LaPlace, Louisiana.
Troopers from the Louisiana State Police said 54-year-old Dwayne Robert was killed when his vehicle allegedly slammed into a slow moving dump truck that was part of a work convoy on Interstate 55. Robert was pronounced dead of his injuries a short time after the collision.
According to Google Maps, the scene of the accident is about 28 miles west of downtown New Orleans.
