Details:
On or about Friday, February 18th, 2022, an accident between a pedestrian and a passenger vehicle sent a 26-year-old man to the hospital. Local law enforcement representatives said the accident was reported along Southwood Drive not far from the exchange with Loop 287 in Lufkin, Texas.
Officers from the Lufkin police Department said 26-year-old Dylan James Foster was injured when he was allegedly hit by a vehicle as he was walking alongside or made an attempt to cross the lanes of Southwood Drive. Paramedics airlifted Foster to a hospital in Tyler with serious injuries stemming from the accident.
According to Google Maps, the intersection of Southwood Drive and Loop 287 in is on the south side of Lufkin.
Authorities are still examining the factors that may have contributed to the accident.
