On or about Wednesday, November 25th, 2020, an accident between a tractor-trailer and a Nissan Xterra SUV claimed the life of a 34-year-old man from Cody. State Troopers said the accident happened along the Powell Highway just outside Sage Creek, Wyoming.
Police said 34-year-old Dylan Ray was killed when his Nissan Xterra allegedly veered over the center line of the roadway when it collided with an 18-wheeler. Paramedics rushed Ray to a nearby hospital where he died of his injuries on Friday, November 27th, 2020.
Officers indicated that the roads may have been covered in ice at the time of the accident, and that speed may have played a role in the crash.
Investigators hope to release the findings as soon as they become available.
