On or about Saturday, February 26th, 2022, around 6:45 in the morning, a serious two-vehicle car accident left an 83-year-old man dead. Deputies from the Travis County Sheriff’s Office said the accident was reported along Highway 183 at the intersection with Riverside Drive in Austin, Texas.
Spokespeople from the Austin Police Department said 83-year-old Edward Brown was killed when the pickup truck he was driving and a Kia Sorrento collided under unspecified conditions. Paramedics rushed Brown to a nearby hospital where he succumbed to his injuries a short time after his arrival. The driver of the other vehicle was unhurt in the collision.
According to Google Maps, the scene of the accident is on the southeast side of Austin.
Authorities are still investigating the accident.
