On or about Friday, January 15th, 2021, around 11:10 at night, an accident between a car and a tractor-trailer left one individual dead. Deputies from the Sheriff’s Department said the accident happened on the eastbound side of Highway 58 in Bakersfield, California.
Officials from the area said 50-year-old Edward Casciegna was killed when his car and an 18-wheeler collided under unspecified circumstances. Investigators said Casciegna’s car rolled after the initial collision. Emergency responders pronounced Casciegna dead a short time after the accident,
