Illinois State Police said 30-year-old Edward Kampelman was injured when a tractor-trailer driven by 30-year-old Jake Basler allegedly crossed over the center line and struck his car. Kampelman was taken to the hospital with unspecified injuries after the accident. Authorities cited Basler with Improper Lane Usage in connection with the crash.
