On or about Monday, November 30th, 2021, around 9:45 in the morning, an accident between a passenger vehicle and a tractor-trailer claimed the life of a 90-year-old man. Troopers from the DPS said the accident was reported at the intersection of Floral Road and Lazy Palms Drive in Linn, Texas
Investigators said 90-year-old Eldon Olney Libby was killed when the car he was driving allegedly failed to yield at the intersection of Lazy Palms Drive and Floral Road when it collided with a tractor-trailer. Emergency responders pronounced Libby dead of his injuries a short time after the collision. Paramedics transported a woman in the vehicle with Libby to a nearby hospital with unknown injuries.
According to Google Maps, the town of Linn is in far south Texas, about 207 miles south of downtown San Antonio.
Authorities are still examining the cause of the crash.
