On or about Saturday, June 19th, 2021, around 1:00 in the afternoon, an accident between a church bus and a tractor-trailer sent eleven children to the hospital. Authorities from the ASP said the accident was reported along Highway 67 near the intersection with Highway 328 in Clay County, Arkansas.

Deputies from the Clay County Sheriff’s Department said eleven children were injured when the church bus they were on and a tractor-trailer collided under unspecified circumstances. Emergency responders rushed the eleven children to the hospital, where three were last reported in critical condition by medical staff. Police did not mention any other vehicles in their preliminary statement on the accident.

According to Google Maps, the scene of the accident is a short distance outside of Corning, which is about 169 miles northeast of Little Rock.

Authorities hope to release the findings of their investigation at a later date.
