On or about Thursday, December 17th, 2021, around 3:11 in the afternoon, a major accident between multiple tractor-trailers and 35 passenger vehicles sent eleven individuals to the hospital. Representatives from the FHP said the accident was reported along the southbound side of Interstate 95 at or near the exchange with Airport Road in Jacksonville, Florida.
Troopers from the Florida Highway Patrol said eleven as-of-yet unidentified individuals were injured when multiple tractor-trailers and 35 other vehicles collided in a chain-reaction pileup accident on southbound I-95. Paramedics transported eleven victims to the hospital with various unspecified injuries stemming from the collision. Officials did not elaborate on what may have sparked off the chain-reaction accident.
