Details:
On or about Wednesday, March 9th, 2022, sometime in the evening hours, a major accident between a tractor-trailer and a passenger vehicle left a 21-year-old Waldron, Arkansas woman dead. Troopers from the NSP said the accident was reported at the intersection of Highway 81 and Highway 84 just outside Hartington in Cedar County, Nebraska.
Investigators from the Nebraska State Police said 21-year-old Elizabeth Soisouvahn was killed when the vehicle she was in allegedly failed to yield at the intersection of Highway 81 and Highway 84 when it was struck by a tractor-trailer. Emergency responders pronounced Soisouvahn dead a short time after the accident. Police identified the driver of the tractor-trailer as 52-year-old Loren Beitelspacher, who was taken to the hospital with unspecified injuries stemming from the collision.
According to Google Maps, the scene of the accident is about 9 miles west of Hartington.
Authorities are still investigating the circumstances surrounding the collision.
