Details:
On or about Tuesday, March 22nd, 2022, around 10:00 at night, an accident between an alleged drunk driver and a cyclist left an 18-year-old man dead. Officials from the Bexar County Sheriff’s Department said the accident was reported along Basse Road in San Antonio, Texas.
Officers from the San Antonio Police Department said 18-year-old Emilian Ramirez was killed when he was allegedly hit by a vehicle as he was riding his bike on the side of Basse Road. Emergency responders pronounced Ramirez dead a short time after the accident.
Police have since identified the driver of the vehicle as Bella Dae Garza, who has since been charged with intoxication manslaughter in connection with the accident.
According to Google Maps, the scene of the accident is on the north side of San Antonio.
Police are still investigating the incident.
