Details:
On or about Friday, March 19th, 2021, around 6:30 in the evening, an accident between a car and a U-Haul box truck left a 22-year-old woman dead. Authorities from the KSP said the accident happened on the southbound side of Interstate 75 just outside London in Laurel County, Kentucky.
Deputies from the County Sheriff’s Department said 22-year-old Emily Evans was killed when her car was allegedly rear-ended by a U-Haul box truck after the car stopped following a previous accident. Evans died of her injuries a short time after she was rushed to a nearby hospital. Police did not mention any other injuries in their preliminary report.
Interstate 75 runs north and south along the eastern edge of London, which is located roughly 76 miles south of Lexington.
Kentucky State Police are assisting in the investigation.
