On or about Thursday, December 9th, 2021, sometime in the morning, an accident between a tractor-trailer and two passenger vehicles left one person dead and sent another person to the hospital. Authorities from the SPD said the accident was reported along the westbound side of Interstate 16 in Savannah, Georgia.
Troopers from the Georgia State Patrol said 22-year-old Emilyy P. Dixon was killed and one as-of-yet unidentified individual was injured when the car they were in allegedly collided with a tractor-trailer. After the initial collision, a second vehicle collided with a tractor-trailer. Emergency responders pronounced Dixon dead a short time after the collision, while a passenger in the vehicle was transported to the hospital with unspecified injuries.
According to Google Maps, Interstate 16 runs east and west into the center of Savannah.
