Emmaleigh Arnold and Aiden Martin were killed and three others injured in a five vehicle collision with a tractor-trailer in a construction zone on I-40 near Shawnee, OK. Troopers from the Oklahoma Highway Patrol say the crash took place on Friday, March 21, 2025.

Authorities report the tractor-trailer failed to slow as it entered a construction zone with only one lane of travel. It then collided with multiple vehicles, including the Kia Forte Arnold and Martin were travelling in. Both University of Oklahoma students were pronounced dead at the scene, with multiple others injured as well. Investigation into the cause of the accident is ongoing.
