On or about Wednesday, March 24th, 2021, around 11:00 at night, an accident between a minivan and a garbage truck left a 32-year-old Itasca County woman dead. Authorities said the accident was reported along Highway 169 in Calumet, Minnesota.

Officers said 32-year-old Erica Lynn Wright was killed when her minivan allegedly crossed over the center line of the roadway and struck a garbage truck. Paramedics pronounced Wright dead of her injuries a short time after the collision. Police identified the driver of the garbage truck as 58-year-old Brett Allen Roth, who was unhurt in the accident.

According to Google Maps, the scene of the accident is about 18 miles northwest of Grand Rapids.

Multiple agencies are investigating the accident.
