Details:
On or about Wednesday, January 27th, 2021, an accident between two tractor-trailers and a car sent two people to the hospital. Authorities said the accident happened on the southbound side of Interstate 39 in Marshall County, Illinois.
Deputies from the Sheriff’s Department said 50-year-old Stacy Colburn was driving a tractor-trailer that allegedly struck a car driven by 22-year-old Erica Tran. After the initial collision, Tran’s car hit an 18-wheeler driven by 44-year-old Christopher Guy. Paramedics transported Guy and Tran to the hospital with unknown injuries after the crash.
Police cited Colburn with improper lane usage following the incident.
According to Google Maps, Interstate 39 runs north and south along the eastern edge of Marshall County. The area is about 132 miles southwest of Chicago.
State and local authorities are investigating the accident.
