Details:

Erik Porcayo-Ramirez and Rosalio Porcayo-Porcayo were killed and two others seriously injured in a multi-vehicle accident at the intersection of Plank Road and Switzer Road in Kane County, IL. Deputies from the Kane County Sheriff’s Office say the accident happened around 9:45 p.m. on Sunday, March 9, 2025.

A Ford F-150 was travelling west on Plank Road when it swerved to dodge a deer, veering into oncoming traffic. It collided with a GMC Sierra pulling a trailer hauling landscaping equipment, and was then struck by a Dodge Ram, bursting into flames.

Porcayo-Ramirez and Porcayo-Porcayo, passengers in the Sierra, were pronounced dead at the scene, while the driver of the Sierra and the F-150 were seriously injured. Investigation into the accident is currently ongoing.
