On or about Sunday, March 27th, 2022, around 11:00 at night, an accident between a box truck, a disabled passenger vehicle, and a pedestrian left a 35-year-old woman dead. Representatives from the ISP said the accident was reported along Interstate 65 in Jackson County, Indiana.
Troopers from the Indiana State Police said 35-year-old Erika Jimenez was killed when a box truck allegedly slammed into her and her disabled vehicle on I-65. Emergency responders pronounced Jimenez dead of her injures at the scene of the collision. Officials identified the driver of the box truck as 61-year-old Lenny Gorelik, who was unhurt in the accident.
According to Google Maps, Interstate 65 cuts north and south through Jackson County.
