Details:
On or about Tuesday, February 23rd, 2021, around 10:30 in the morning, an accident between an 18-wheeler and a car left an 88-year-old man dead. Authorities from the PSP said the accident was reported at the intersection of East Middle Street and York Street in Hanover, Pennsylvania.
Authorities said 88-year-old Eugene Fuhrman was killed when a tractor-trailer allegedly ran a red light and struck his car. First responders rushed Fuhrman to UPMC Hanover Hospital where he died of his injuries a few hours after his arrival. No other injuries were reported following the crash.
Hanover is located about 120 miles west of the Philadelphia area.
Police hope to release the findings of their investigation as soon as they become available.
