Details:
On or about March 18th, 2022, around 4:00 in the morning, a single-vehicle UTV accident left an 18-year-old man dead. Troopers from the Department of Public Safety said the accident was reported along Mile 17 North Road in Hidalgo County, Texas.
Officials said 18-year-old Ezequel Alvarez was killed when the UTV he was in allegedly drove off the side of the roadway and rolled along Mile 17 North Road. Alvarez was pronounced dead after the accident, but it is not clear if he died at the scene, or if he was rushed to a nearby hospital where he succumbed to his injuries a short time after his arrival.
According to Google Maps, the scene of the accident is near Sharp Road.
Police are still investigating the factors that may have played a role in the incident.
