Details:
On or about Friday, September 24th, 2021, around 9:47 at night, an accident between a pedestrian and a tractor-trailer claimed the life of a 33-year-old man. Officials from the VSP said the accident was reported along the eastbound side of Interstate 64 in Henrico County, Virginia.
Investigators said 33-year-old Fernando A. Leon-Guerrero was killed when he was allegedly struck by a tractor-trailer while he was assisting with a disabled car on the eastbound side of I-64. Paramedics pronounced Leon-Guerrero dead of his injuries a short time after the incident. Police did not mention any other injuries in their initial report on the incident.
According to Google Maps, Interstate 64 runs east and west through Henrico County, which comprises the northern half of the Richmond area.
Police are still investigating.
