On or about Tuesday, October 12th, 2021, around 6:45 in the evening, an accident between a tractor-trailer, a motorcycle and five cars sent five individuals to the hospital. Representatives from the CSP said the accident was reported along the westbound side of Interstate 70 in Summit County, Colorado.
Authorities from the area said five as-of-yet unidentified individuals were injured when a motorcycle, five passenger vehicles and a tractor-trailer collided in a chain-reaction accident. Officials did not elaborate as to how the chain-reaction accident may have started. Emergency responders transported five people to the hospital with unspecified injuries stemming from the accident.
According to Google Maps, Interstate 70 cuts east and west through Summit County, which is about 74 miles west of downtown Denver.
Police are still investigating.
