Details:
On or about Wednesday, April 27th, 2022, around 4:30 in the afternoon, a head-on accident between a pickup truck and a passenger vehicle left five people dead. Troopers from the Department of Public Safety said the accident was reported along Highway 287 in Armstrong County, Texas.
Representatives from the Texas DPS said four as-of-yet unidentified adults and a child were killed when a passenger vehicle allegedly struck a pickup truck head-on while driving the wrong direction on Highway 287. Emergency responders pronounced two adults and a child in the passenger vehicle dead after the crash, while two people in the pickup truck were also pronounced dead.
According to Google Maps, Highway 287 winds east and west into Andrews County.
Authorities are still investigating.
