Details:
On or about Monday, June 6th, 2022, a major accident between a tractor-trailer and a transport van left five people dead and sent several others to the hospital. Troopers from the ASP said the accident was reported along Highway 65 in Chicot County, Arkansas.
Authorities from the Arkansas State Police said Tommy Figures, Brayshawn Ranson, Geraldine Prewitt, Terry King, and Regina Jackson were killed when the transport van they were in allegedly failed to yield and struck a tractor-trailer along Highway 65. Emergency responders pronounced Figures, Ranson, Prewitt, King, and Jackson dead of their injuries after the accident, while Susan Kennedy, Cebra Jordan, Zantress Willis, and Robert Bell were rushed to the hospital with unknown injuries.
According to Google Maps, the scene of the accident is at the intersection with Highway 35.
Officials are still investigating the crash.
