On or about Monday, November 16th, 2020, around 2:20 in the afternoon, an accident between two school buses sent four individuals to the hospital. Officers said the accident took place at the intersection of Route 9G and Smith Court in Hyde Park, New York.
Deputies from the Dutchess County Sheriff’s Office said four as-of-yet unidentified individuals, including two students were injured when two school buses collided. One of the school bus allegedly failed to yield when the two collided, causing one of the buses to roll.
Four people were transported to area hospitals with unspecified injuries.
Examining the intersection on Google Maps shows Route 9G runs north and south with two lanes, while Smith Court runs east and west with two lanes in a residential area. Hyde Park is about 73 miles north of New York City.
Investigators are still examining the cause of the accident.
