On or about Wednesday, July 21st, 2021, around 3:30 in the afternoon, a single-vehicle school bus accident sent four children to the hospital. Deputies from the Yadkin County Sheriff’s Office said the accident was reported along Rena Road in Jonesville, North Carolina.
Police from the area said four as-of-yet unidentified children were injured when the school bus they were on allegedly lost control and rolled to one side while driving down Rena Road. Emergency responders transported four children on the bus to nearby Brenner Children’s Hospital with unspecified injuries stemming from the accident. Officers did not mention any other vehicles in their initial statement on the crash.
According to Google Maps, Rena Road winds east and west through Jonesville, which is located roughly 43 miles northwest of Winston-Salem.
Police hope to release more information about the accident at a later date.
