On or about Tuesday, March 15th, 2022, around 2:00 in the afternoon, a major accident between a tractor-trailer, a pickup truck, and two passenger vehicles sent four individuals to the hospital. Troopers from the MSP said the accident was reported along Interstate 70 not far from the exchange with Route 94 in Woodbine, Maryland.

Deputies from the Howard County Sheriff’s Department said four as-of-yet unidentified individuals were injured when a tractor-trailer allegedly slammed into a Kia Sportage, a Honda Civic, and a Toyota Tundra pickup truck that had been ensnared in a previous collision on I-70. Emergency responders transported four people from the Kia to a nearby hospital with unspecified injuries stemming from the accident.

According to Google Maps, Interstate 70 cuts east and west through Howard County.

Authorities are still investigating the accident.
